The problem

The shop ran on Square. The website ran on Shopify. A 3PL held the stock for online orders and had its own location in Shopify. Nothing agreed, so the team corrected stock by hand and the site still sold items that were already gone.

Off-the-shelf sync apps treated every location the same and pushed the 3PL's figures back into the shop's till, which made it worse.

What we built

A custom connector rather than another app. The shop's Square location is the source of truth. Stock flows out to Shopify, and a rule stops the 3PL location from ever writing back to Square.

A small portal lets the team tick the Square products they want online and send them to Shopify. Shopify customer profiles are copied into Square so the shop sees the same customers as the website.

The connector runs under the client's own brand, licensed from us, and we rebuilt their Shopify theme alongside it.
